Pouco comum. Sir Andrew Halliday, M.D. (1781-1849), formou-se em medicina na Universidade de Edimburgo em 1806. Chamado por Beresford em 1809 para reorganizar os serviços de saúde militares, decidiu escrever em 1811, já regressado a Inglaterra, uma história desses dois anos de guerra na Península. Essa história acabou por se expandir para um longo tratado sobre Portugal, e o estado presente de coisas neste país. Importante para as coleções da Guerra Peninsular.
